The pressure is getting worser

Second week task

This week's task fits into the famous Tiktok sound "The pressure is getting worser". Even though it was easy breezy for most sub-teams, it sure had some groaning.

Let's start with the teams who had it in between. Digital marketing. These guys 'literally' hustled to achieve their task which was to implement their social media strategy from the last task, then build our social media presence and followers to 100 across the board.

Getting people to like or follow a fresh new business page isn't so easy anymore given the fact that clicking on random links could lead to being hacked. Yes, they know you, but then again, what if you have already been hacked and the hackers are just posing as you? I am sure you can understand the hustle part now.

Was the task achieved? Yep. Luckily we have very committed team players in Digital marketing. They were able to achieve 99.7% of their social media followers target.

Then we have our graphic design team, who initially thought they were going to get burned this week but commitment played a huge role in helping them avoid the burn. They were tasked with creating a brand guide for the startup and as usual, they delivered. This was done using Corel Draw, Photoshop and Canva.

Product Design (UI/UX) was to deliver low-fidelity wireframes and commence work on high-fidelity wireframes. You hang around IT people, you learn a lot of terminologies. So for those who do not know, a low-fidelity wireframe is the first visual representation of a designer’s idea. Our product team was able to bring their ideas to life using Miro.

Video animation. This is where the pressure comes. Who knew making cartons was this tasking? This one-man team was to work with the content creation team to create an anticipation video for the product using the brand guide created by the graphic design team. A couple of cool ideas were thrown on the table. We wanted the video to be catchy, informative and witty. We did not want a video that you would be in a hurry to skip when it appears over that movie you are watching on Youtube.

And so, with the three teams brainstorming, you are sure great content would be created. The video was created using PowToon.

Similar to video animation, the frontend development was tasked with Building a landing page (one-pager - coming soon page) with a newsletter section connected to MailChimp, where users can sign up.

The landing page was created using Its vs code Bootstrap 5.

Backend development did a technical deep dive and came up with an entity relationship diagram (ERD) which is a graphical representation that depicts relationships among people, objects, places, concepts or events within an information technology (IT) system. This was done using Lucidchart.

If I learned anything this week, it is that there are differences between Customer relationship management and Customer care. As obvious as this may sound, the two roles can easily be mistaken for one another. The CRM team were to create a chatbot on Tidio to automatically answer the FAQs created in the last week’s task and then mount or test the chatbot on the landing page created by the Frontend team.

This chatbot certainly proved difficult for the team at first due to the technical aspects of it. But with dedicated time watching instructional materials, they finally did it.

This week has been fun and challenging. We look forward to what next week brings.

Cheers.
